Virtual Implant Placement
Our doctors are able to utilize the latest technology in 3-dimensional imaging to assist them in diagnosis, treatment planning, and surgical placement of dental implants.
In certain cases, a 3-dimensional image is obtained of the patient’s upper and/or lower jaw. Using specialized in office software, Dr. Flynn can then appropriately treatment plan a case by virtually placing implants into the patient’s available bone, on a computer. A 3-dimensional image of the jawbone, implants, and proposed final restoration can be rendered. This type of technology allows for more accurate, safe, and appropriate placement of implants within the bone. A surgical guide can also be made from the plan developed. This guide increases the efficiency and safety of the implant surgery.
